Driving licence

Apply for a driving licence

The usual order is a learner's licence, a test, then a permanent licence.

A permanent licence comes after a learner's licence and a driving test. Apply at the regional transport office or on the Sarathi Parivahan portal. Take proof of identity, proof of address, and photographs.

The learner's test covers road signs and traffic rules. A learner's licence is valid for six months. The permanent licence is issued after the driving test is passed.

This site can show a licence record and host practice questions. It does not submit the application.

This site is not a government portal. Applications are filed at the transport office or on the official portal.
